Proposal Requirements

• A completed application form
• A letter of support from the department head or chair of the school

No identification of the applicant or the institution is to appear on any of the following pages:

• A 200-word statement of intent on a single 8.5” x 11” page indicating the central theses of the studio and describing how travel will relate to the students’ design work.
• A single 8.5” x 11” page containing an expanded statement of goals for the trip and subsequent design studio, including how funds will be used. Applicants should clearly describe:
1. Relevance of their subject to the discourse of architectural pedagogy and thinking
2. Pedagogical goals as they relate the travel to the studio work
3. Procedures and methods to be used in the studio design research
4. Proposed outcomes to be produced in the studio
• A single 8.5” x 11” page describing the faculty applicant’s background and aspirations for the studio.
